This analysis identifies both primary components and minor impurities within the sample. Additionally it determines “how much” of a substance is present in your sample and/or its percentage purity (e.g. 90 % Caffeine). Only the expected or primary components present will be quantified! With this analysis we can always report whether the expected substance is present or not (if it makes up >0.1 % of the sample) and quantify it.
We can test pills, powders, extracts, liquids, oils and others. This method is ideal if you want to confirm the identity of your sample and assess its purity. It is also the type of analysis you should choose if you want to determine the strength of a pill, a solution, or any other form your sample might take. There may be a few exceptional cases (less than 1% of the cases in our experience) where we won’t be able to identify a substance even using all our different analytical instruments and techniques, and therefore the result will be stated as ´unknown substance found´.
In general our methodology for this type of analysis includes at least two of the following techniques: FTIR, NIR plus LC-MS and/or NMR. We always include an annotated snapshot of the raw data from the analyzed sample in our report:
