Marketplace Rules

These rules cover every trade on Roidboard: the country marketplaces, the general marketplaces, the vendor boards and the feedback threads. They come on top of the Board Rules in this board. The marketplace is only open to members who are logged in.

Where to post
Not allowed in the marketplace
Narcotics and weapons. Listings like these are removed.

Listings
  • One thread per listing. Update your thread instead of posting the same thing again.
  • Say what it is, the price, how you want to be paid and whether you ship or meet in person.
  • New listings get WTS in a sell board and WTB in a buy board automatically. For a swap, pick Trade instead. It is in every buy board and in the general sell boards.
  • When the deal is done, change the prefix to Sold or Closed. New Members cannot edit yet, so send a moderator a private message and we will change it for you.
  • Describe things honestly. Selling something that is not what you said it was counts as a scam.

Bumps
  • Use the Bump button on your own listing to move it back to the top. You can bump each listing once every 24 hours. Vendors with VIP can bump every 12 hours.
  • The 24 hours count from the newest of three things: when you started the thread, your last bump and your own last post in it. So a reply from you counts as a bump.
  • You can always answer when someone else posted last. If the last post is already yours, you cannot reply again until 24 hours after that post or your last bump. Edit your post instead.
  • Closed listings and listings marked Sold or Closed cannot be bumped.

Inactive listings
A listing with no activity for 30 days is closed by the board and gets the Closed prefix, and you get an alert. If it is still available, open the thread and press Reopen thread. The old prefix comes back and you can bump again. Threads closed by staff stay closed.

Before you trade
  • Read the other member's feedback thread.
  • Look them up with Check a member on the Scam Register page.
  • An amber Deal with caution badge means there is an open scam case about that member. A red Confirmed scammer badge means staff confirmed one.
  • Start small with someone you have not traded with before.

Making the deal
  • Agree on price, payment and shipping in private messages before anything is sent.
  • Keep addresses, phone numbers, tracking numbers and payment details out of public posts.
  • New Members: private messages with links or contact details are held for a staff check before they are delivered.

After the trade
Leave honest feedback in the other member's feedback thread, good or bad. Feedback for deals that never happened, or feedback you asked a friend to write, gets you banned.

When something goes wrong
Talk to the other member first. If that does not solve it, report it to the Scam Register with the Report scam button on one of their marketplace posts, or through the report form. Add screenshots, the date, the amount and the payment method. Do not call people scammers in public threads. Staff look at the evidence, and the register shows the result. False reports can lead to a ban.

Vendors
Want to sell as a vendor? Apply on the Vendor Apply page. Every vendor starts as New Vendor, and staff move vendors up to Verified, Respected, Trusted and Elite as they build a record. You cannot apply for a higher tier. You can have one application under review at a time, and after a denial you can apply again after 7 days.

Breaking these rules leads to a warning, a Restricted status or a ban, depending on how serious it is.
