Board Rules
These rules apply everywhere on Roidboard: threads, private messages, the shoutbox, signatures and profiles. They are short on purpose. Follow them and you will rarely hear from staff.
1. One account per person
Make one account and keep it. Second accounts are banned. If you lose access, use Lost Password or the Contact Us form.
2. Language
Write in English, Swedish, Norwegian or Danish. In the country sections the local language works best.
3. Be decent
Disagree as much as you like, but go after the argument, not the person. No harassment, threats, slurs or personal attacks.
4. Keep personal details private
Never post someone else's name, address, phone number, photos or other personal details, and never threaten to. That is a ban. Keep your own details out of public posts too: addresses, tracking numbers and payment details belong in private messages.
5. Selling belongs in the marketplace
Buying, selling and prices belong in the marketplace and vendor boards. Do not post offers anywhere else, and do not send offers by private message to people who did not ask for them. Vendors advertise only in their own vendor boards, not in other members' threads.
6. Honest feedback, reputation and likes
Feedback, reputation and likes must reflect what really happened. Fake or paid reviews, trading reputation and feedback from a second account all lead to a ban.
7. No scamming
Scamming a member is the fastest way off the board. Confirmed scams are listed in the Scam Register, and the account loses access to the forum. If you were scammed, file a report there instead of calling someone out in a thread. False reports can lead to a ban.
8. No spam
No advertising for other sites, no copy and paste posts and no short posts just to raise your post count.
9. New Members
Once you have confirmed your email address, every new account starts as New Member. Until you reach 50 posts:
- Your posts and threads wait for staff approval before others can see them.
- You cannot edit or delete your posts.
- You cannot share links or contact details (email, phone numbers, Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp and similar). Private messages that contain them are held for a staff check, and shouts, signatures and profile fields that contain them are refused. Links to Roidboard itself are fine.
- You can send 5 private messages per 24 hours (a message to three members counts as three). Messages to staff never count.
10. Report, do not fight
See a post that breaks the rules? Use the Report button on the post and let staff handle it. Do not reply to spam or feed an argument.
When rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is: a note from staff, a warning, a Restricted status for a set time, or a ban. Restricted members can still read, but everything they post waits for approval, and private messages, signature, reputation, likes and posting in the shoutbox are off until it ends. The notice at the top of every page shows the reason and the end date.
Disagree with a decision?
Send a private message to the staff member who made it, or to an administrator on the Forum Team page. If you are restricted and cannot send private messages, use the Contact Us form. Please keep it out of public threads. Members confirmed as scammers can appeal in Scam Appeals, which they see when they log in.
